Fear of Failure

Written by Asmeret Payne

So this one is a little different. Just so you know I don’t just preach the stuff I live it. I am currently listening to “Rich Dad Poor dad”. One recurring theme is managing fear. It reminded me of something when I was younger. I loved horses like most young girls. Unlike most young girls though I got one.
When my Grandad died my mom sold our old house part when the into a college savings account for me and my brother to share the other part when to buying one big thing for each of us. My brother got a 4 wheeler when he turned 13, I got Bella Sunshine. Since horses have to eat and have a place to live I also got a job at a hay ranch owned by a friend.
I took riding lessons and here is where I get to the point, I was told over and over again. “You are not a cowgirl until you have fallen off ten times.” I took that to 💓. I have been thrown under fences, kicked in the face, and even knocked out once. It didn’t even hurt that bad, but I did it and had a lot of fun. I wouldn’t have traded it for anything.
Bad things are going to happen but that doesn’t mean we have to be afraid.
